A reputable client of ours is seeking to recruit a Finance Manager. The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Oversee the Group’s monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes and timelines.
Manage all company financial activities in compliance with Group policies and local regulations, including revenue, receivables, payables, cash/banking, general ledger, payments, cash flow, taxation, and financial reporting.
Ensure accurate screening, recording, and timely payment of invoices and claims in line with agreed terms.
Lead effective credit control by proactively managing credit risk, maximizing revenue, and ensuring timely collection of all receivables
Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of financial reports, returns, and summaries to support proper accounting and reporting.
Submit periodic financial reports to Head Office for Group consolidation and reporting.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure prompt resolution of audit findings.
Review and improve financial systems and procedures, recommending process improvements or automation where appropriate.
Provide financial insights and analysis to support informed decision-making by senior management.
Ensure full compliance with local tax laws and statutory reporting requirements.
Prepare and submit special financial reports to Group Finance on significant developments affecting the company.
Manage, develop, and supervise the Finance team to meet departmental objectives.
Liaise with internal departments, Head Office, and external stakeholders including banks, auditors, suppliers, customers, and authorities.
Participate in assigned internal projects as required.
Requirements
6 years previous experience in a similar role in Malta and warranted Accountant
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Possess excellent intrapersonal skills
Knowledge of IFRS principles and cross-boarder VAT laws would be a plus
Education and Experience
Fully qualified accountant and in possession of a CPA warrant
