Finance Manager

A reputable client of ours is seeking to recruit a Finance Manager. The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:

• Lead the financial setup and ongoing management of the Malta entity.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in line with Group requirements.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping and general ledger entries.
• Prepare, issue, and follow up on customer invoices and aged receivables.
• Review and post purchase invoices, manage accounts payable.
• Perform account reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and month-end close processes.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and ad hoc financial reports.
• Support VAT, tax, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Supervise and support junior finance staff.
• Enhance internal controls and participate in finance projects as needed.

Requirements

• 3 years previous experience in a similar role in Malta and warranted Accountant
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Possess excellent intrapersonal skills
• Knowledge of IFRS principles and cross-boarder VAT laws would be a plus

Education and Experience

• Fully qualified accountant and in possession of a CPA warrant
