Our client, a healthcare importation business is seeking to recruit a Finance Executive The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Coordinate with the Managing Director to allocate resources for daily finance operations, including bookkeeping, invoicing, billing, receivables, inventory, and bank transaction processing.
Oversee routine accounting activities and ensure financial records remain accurate and up to date.
Prepare key accounting entries and reconciliations, including accruals and prepayments.
Analyse financial results, comparing them with management expectations and investigating any variances.
Utilise financial reporting systems and BI tools to review and explain financial data clearly.
Process monthly payroll and ensure related statutory submissions are completed.
Prepare and submit VAT and income tax returns and manage related payments or refunds.
Monitor accounts payable, receivables, and inventory to support effective cash flow and working capital management.
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and updated forecasts when required.
Support the Managing Director in maintaining banking relationships, preparing financial information, and managing cash flow needs.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
Ability to work under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines
Possess excellent intrapersonal and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Maltese
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools
Education and Experience
Fully qualified accountant holding a local warrant
