Our client, a well-established company operating in the Manufacturing industry is looking for a Finance Associate to join their team. The ideal candidate has to be ambitious, able to take initiative and autonomous in order to have room to progress internally.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the payroll operations while ensuring compliance with tax regulations
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure all data is reviewed and up to date, especially that related to payroll
- Responsible for the accurate and timely accounting of transactions
- Oversee in-house bank accounts, reconciliations and petty cash management
- Assist the Manager with the preparation of accruals, prepayments and other day-to-day financial reports
- Maintain the Company’s internal control framework
- Assist in the execution of audit-related activities as may be required from time to time
Requirements
- Previous local experience in a similar role doing up to the trial balance stage, ideally involved in payroll
- Knowledge of local tax regulations
- Ambitious and able to work independently
- Analytical thinking and problem solving
Education and Experience
- In possession of an MQF Level 6 in Finance, partly-qualified accountant or actively studying ACCA
