Finance Associate

  Central Malta  |  €27,000 - €30,000 Annually 

Our client, a well-established company operating in the Manufacturing industry is looking for a Finance Associate to join their team. The ideal candidate has to be ambitious, able to take initiative and autonomous in order to have room to progress internally.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the payroll operations while ensuring compliance with tax regulations
  • Collaborate with the HR department to ensure all data is reviewed and up to date, especially that related to payroll
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely accounting of transactions
  • Oversee in-house bank accounts, reconciliations and petty cash management
  • Assist the Manager with the preparation of accruals, prepayments and other day-to-day financial reports
  • Maintain the Company’s internal control framework
  • Assist in the execution of audit-related activities as may be required from time to time

Requirements

  • Previous local experience in a similar role doing up to the trial balance stage, ideally involved in payroll
  • Knowledge of local tax regulations
  • Ambitious and able to work independently
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving

Education and Experience

  • In possession of an MQF Level 6 in Finance, partly-qualified accountant or actively studying ACCA
