Credit Controller

  Central Malta  |  Starting from €28,000 Annually 

Our client is seeking to recruit a Credit controller to join their finance team. The person will report into the Financial Controller. 

Duties include:

  •  Analysing and monitoring client accounts reconciliations
  • Monitoring payments received and their relative allocations;
  • Devising payment plans in agreement with both seller and buyer;
  • Following up with the sales team or customers to chase for payments related to outstanding debts
  • Establishing the appropriate credit terms for each category of clients in liaison with the Sales and Finance teams
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date records of all activities and client data in the system
  • Dealing with client queries by phone and email related to invoices and statements
  •  Liaising with the Company Lawyers on legal matters regarding overdue debts;
  • Reporting to the Management on outstanding issues, whilst highlighting potential debtor problems and risks.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in credit control is required
  • Possesses strong time management and planning skills;
  • Able to multi task
  • Candidates must be assertive and proactive
  • Excellent communication skills in Maltese and English
