Client Accountant

  Central Malta  |  €35,000 - €40,000 Annually 

Our client, a local leading CSP is seeking to recruit a Client Accountant to join their Finance team. The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:  

  • Preparing management accounts for a portfolio of clients 
  • Preparing and submissions of VAT and tax returns under the guidance of the Tax/VAT team 
  • Liaising with clients on a regular basis and ensuring their needs are being met 
  • Preparing of accountancy files for audit purposes 
  • Assigning duties to the junior members of the team whilst overseeing their work 
  • Ensuring that the company's policies and procedures are being adhered to at all times 
  • Making calculated decisions under the parameters given by Management and in line with a risk-based approach 
  • Ensuring discretion at all times in day to day matters 
  • Providing on the job training and other related training if required 
  • Any other duty which may be required from time to time

Requirements

  • Minimum two years working experience in a similar role within client accounting
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask whilst maintaining organization at all times
  • Meticulous with an eye for detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Education and Experience

  • Fully qualified or partly qualified accountant. A similar qualification will be also be considered
