A reputable client of ours specialised in the Logistics sector is looking to onboard an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to join their team; The designated person will be working closely with, and reporting to, the CEO/Director, and responsibilities are as follows:
Duties:
- Develop and oversee financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, while overseeing tax planning, and audits accordingly
- Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to senior management and stakeholders, as required.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations for financial planning and decision-making.
- Lead and manage the Finance Department, ensuring efficient financial operations and reporting.
- Implement and monitor financial risk management strategies to safeguard company assets, optimising financial performance by identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with department heads to support business objectives and ensure financial alignment throughout the Company.
- Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance, as mentioned above.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a similar leadership role locally.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (master’s degree preferred) or ACCA, as well as being locally warranted
