A highly regarded and internationally renowned client of ours, specialised within the FMCG and Manufacturing sector is looking to onboard an experienced and seasoned CFO to join their team:
Duties:
Develop and implement the finance and cost strategy for the one-to-five-year horizon in support of the business overall strategy
Ensure proper evaluation and valuation of projects and secure the necessary funding
Manage financing for Capital projects, strategising a long-term vision for managing company owned properties, and confirm alignment of property requirements with business strategy
Report financial results to the Board of Directors, overseeing and reviewing the preparation and analysis of management accounts, investment appraisals and variance analysis, as well as cash management and credit exposure
Oversee the liquidity management process to manage the Company’s bank portfolio of assets and liabilities
Advise Management on appropriate courses of action based on the Cost Efficiency & Capability of the Company’s various products & initiatives
Evaluate, adopt and maintain policies, procedures and internal controls and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements
Deliver business expectations to the management team and ensure proper implementation through structured audits
Support the Board in ensuring a robust Internal Audit function is in place to assess and report on the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and control processes
Build and nurture working relationships with banks, financial advisors, insurance agencies, and other various stakeholders and regulators as required
Ensure alignment to the Company Calendar, KPIs and adherence to Company policies and procedures in the department’s undertakings
Requirements
12+ years overall experience, of which a minimum of 5 years' experience in the relevant industry as a CFO
Must have excellent communication skills in both English and Italian
Open to frequent travel to Italy ( 4 times weekly - Mon - Thurs), or, alternatively open to relocating
Strategic Thinking, including solid experience with change management
Education and Experience
An Accounting degree or a recognised professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA
