A client of ours operating a start-up Company specialised in Business support and Financial /Fintech Services, is looking to onboard a Chief Financial Officer ( CFO ) to join their growing team of professionals. The designated person will manage all financial, accounting, and regulatory reporting functions to maintain financial integrity and compliance, and will be working closely with and reporting to the CEO
Duties:
- Manage and control all aspects of the Finance department, leading and developing as required
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure that all regulatory submissions are submitted in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and Maltese legislation standards.
- Manage liquidity, capital structure, and financial risk.
- Manage the relationship with external auditors and stakeholders as required
- Oversee audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting.
- Ensure an efficient reporting structure both regulatory and internally
- Advise the CEO on financial strategy and capital planning.
Requirements
- Strong finance/audit background in regulated entities, with proven local experience holding a similar senior role
- Solid analytical, leadership, and regulatory experience
- Mastery of IFRS reporting standards
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and ideally in Maltese
Education and Experience
- Must be a fully qualified and locally warranted accounting professional
