Chief Financial Officer ( CFO )

A client of ours specialising in Construction and Engineering is looking to onboard a Chief Financial Officer to join their team; The designated person will be working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and overseeing the Finance team:

Duties:

• Develop and implement financial strategies to improve profitability and drive sustainable growth.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the Board members and the CEO.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Provide guidance and insight to a centralised finance team.
• Lead financial risk management, internal controls, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, investors, and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Manage tax planning and compliance, ensuring adherence to tax regulations and optimising tax strategies to minimise the Company's tax liabilities.
• Lead refinancing initiatives to optimise capital structure, manage debt obligations, and secure favourable financing terms for the Company's operations.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, comprised of members based in various jurisdictions, to achieve departmental goals.

Requirements

• Must be a seasoned and highly experienced finance professional with a proven track record of a minimum 5 years experience working in a similar role
• Highly competent and able to perform Group Consolidations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and ideally in Maltese
• Must be familiar and well versed with local legislations

Education and Experience

• Must be a fully qualified and warranted Accountant
