This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading hospitality group as an Accounts Receivable Officer, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the hotel’s day-to-day operations.
Working closely with the Financial Controller and various departments, you’ll ensure smooth billing, efficient collections, and a first-class service experience, all while gaining valuable exposure within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Process and post customer invoices and payments accurately and on time.
- Reconcile accounts receivable records and resolve any discrepancies.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts in line with company credit policies.
- Verify commission charges from tour operators and travel agents to ensure accuracy and compliance with contracts.
- Prepare regular debtor statements and support month-end closing and reporting.
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to maintain strong working relationships and smooth payment processes.
- Support daily cashiering and reconciliation activities, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of the accounts receivable cycle
- Prior experience in the hotel industry will be beneficial however not a requirement
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Strong numerical accuracy, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
Education and Experience
- A Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field would be an asset
