Accounts Payables Lead

  Central Malta  |  €30,000 - €32,000 Annually 

Our client a well established company in Malta is looking for an Accounts Payables Lead to manage a team within a growing accounting team 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor the Accounts Payable team; assign tasks and provide performance feedback.
  • Oversee timely and accurate invoice processing and expense handling.
  • Approve payment runs in line with budgets; coordinate with Treasury and Chief Finance Officer.
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment issues.
  • Take ownership of key vendor processing, reconciliation, and payment approvals.
  • Ensure accurate financial record keeping and compliance with accounting standards and tax laws.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Prepare Accounts Payable reports including aging analysis, forecasts, and expense summaries.
  • Resolve discrepancies and payment issues promptly.
  • Train and evaluate team members; support performance development.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of proven local experience in an Accounts Payable
  • Able to lead a team and manage deadlines

Education and Experience

  • A level in Accounting
