Accounts Payable Officer
South of Malta | €20,000 - €30,000 Annually
Our client, a leading supplier of gas products is looking to recruit an Accounts Payable officer to join their team.
Main responsibilities:
Process invoices and payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Review, match, and record supplier invoices, purchase orders, and delivery documentation.
Prepare, process, and monitor payments via cheque, bank transfer, or electronic methods.
Reconcile accounts payable ledgers, vendor statements, and monthly bank accounts.
Handle and document cash transactions securely and accurately.
Maintain precise financial records and assist with audit preparations.
Generate and analyze reports on accounts payable and cash flow.
Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice or payment discrepancies.
Contribute to process improvements in accounts payable and cash management operations.
Assist the Head of Accounts with ad hoc tasks and special projects as required.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting, preferably within accounts payable or a similar finance role.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Education and Experience
A Level Standard of Education in Accounting.
