Accounts Payable Officer

  South of Malta  |  €20,000 - €30,000 Annually 

Our client, a leading supplier of gas products is looking to recruit an Accounts Payable officer to join their team.

Main responsibilities: 

  • Process invoices and payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review, match, and record supplier invoices, purchase orders, and delivery documentation.
  • Prepare, process, and monitor payments via cheque, bank transfer, or electronic methods.
  • Reconcile accounts payable ledgers, vendor statements, and monthly bank accounts.
  • Handle and document cash transactions securely and accurately.
  • Maintain precise financial records and assist with audit preparations.
  • Generate and analyze reports on accounts payable and cash flow.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice or payment discrepancies.
  • Contribute to process improvements in accounts payable and cash management operations.
  • Assist the Head of Accounts with ad hoc tasks and special projects as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting, preferably within accounts payable or a similar finance role.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education and Experience

  • A Level Standard of Education in Accounting.
