As an Accounts Payables Specialist, you’ll be the go-to person for ensuring supplier invoices and payments are accurate, timely, and fully compliant. You’ll work at the heart of operations, supporting the finance function while building strong relationships with suppliers and contributing to the hotel’s success story.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Check, and process supplier invoices for goods, services, and expenses.
- Match purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices to ensure everything adds up correctly
- Code, approve, and enter invoices into the accounting system with precision.
- Reconcile supplier statements regularly, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare payment runs in line with supplier agreements and cash flow requirements.
- Monitor aged payables and provide updates to management.
- Handle supplier queries professionally, maintaining positive working relationships.
- Ensure VAT and other statutory requirements are correctly applied to invoices.
- Assist with month-end and year-end processes, including accruals and reconciliations
- Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation.
- Spot opportunities for improving financial processes and contribute new ideas.
What We’re Looking For
- An Advanced level qualification or higher in Accounting.
- Experience in accounts payable (hospitality sector experience is a plus).
- Exposure with hotel accounting systems
- Strong knowledge of invoicing, reconciliations, and payment processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills when dealing with suppliers.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and reliable.
- Comfortable working independently while also being a team player.
