Our client is seeking to recruit for an Accounts Payable Officer who is responsible for accurately processing and recording financial transactions related to the payment of invoices, bills, and expenses. This role involves maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring timely payments, and collaborating with other departments to resolve any discrepancies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving and reviewing invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Code and entering invoices into the accounting system.
- Verifying that all supporting documentation is attached.
- Suppliers reconciliation
- Prepare and process payments, including checks, and electronic transfers
- Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of funds.
- Communicating with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies
- Maintaining positive relationships with vendors to ensure smooth payment processes
- Update vendor information as needed.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all invoices and payment transactions.
- File and archive invoices and payment documentation.
- Assist in month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.
- Provide necessary reports and documentation for financial reporting.
- Work closely with other departments, such as Purchasing and Finance, to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Requirements
- A solid understanding of accounting principles is vital.
- Local previous experience in a similar role is required

Education and Experience
- minimum of A-Level qualifications in accounting is required
