Accounts Officer (South of Malta)

  South of Malta  |  €26,000 - €30,000 Annually 

Our client, within the Pharmaceutical Industry is looking to recruit an Accounts Officer to join their team.

Main Responsibilities include :

  • Manage the daily processing of financial transactions, ensuring records are accurate, up to date, and well-maintained.
  • Handle incoming invoices (both electronic and paper-based) and route them to the appropriate departments for approval.
  • Enter invoices into the accounting system in a timely and precise manner.
  • Reconcile supplier/creditor statements to ensure balances are accurate.
  • Prepare and issue sales invoices.
  • Provide support during audit processes as required.
  • Administer the petty cash system, including recording cash transactions and preparing monthly reconciliations.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for all company bank accounts, both local and foreign.
  • Manage and execute all payment-related responsibilities.
  • Undertake other general administrative or operational tasks as needed to support the continuous improvement of the department.
  • Consistently adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliation processes.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively across departments.

Education and Experience

  • An A-Level Standard of Education
