Accounts Executive

  North of Malta  |  €24,000 - €30,000 Annually 

Our client, a leading retail company in Malta is looking to recruit an Accounts Executive to join their growing team.

Main responsibilities :

  • Process and post General Ledger entries to ensure accurate transaction recording.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts and financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
  • Review trial balances, journal entries, prepayments, accruals, and fixed asset records for accuracy and compliance with group policies.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including ageing analysis of debtors and creditors.
  • Maintain and update financial data in relevant systems for timely reporting.
  • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, including VAT returns.
  • Support cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and monthly/year-end closings.
  • Assist with audits, tax payments, and ongoing accounting projects.
  • Conduct day-to-day reconciliations and ensure accurate financial records.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Italian is an advantage.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or currently pursuing an ACCA qualification.
