Accounts Clerk

Our client within the Hospitality industry is looking to recruit an Accounts Clerk.

Main responsibilities :

• Record and maintain financial transactions in accounting systems and spreadsheets
• Manage accounts payable records in line with purchase orders and compliance requirements
• Review invoices for accuracy, correct coding, and PO alignment
• Process payments, follow up on outstanding balances, and resolve discrepancies via supplier reconciliations
• Collect and reconcile cash and card payments with system reports
• Perform daily reconciliations and investigate any variances
• Prepare and organise bank deposits
• Review and validate employee expense claims in line with company policies
• Administer petty cash and employee disbursements with proper documentation checks
• Support audits by preparing and providing required financial documentation
• Handle incoming calls and emails, directing them appropriately
• Monitor and replenish office supplies as needed
• Maintain organised physical and digital filing systems
• Prepare and compile financial statements and related documents
• Carry out additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role; hospitality experience is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); Dynamics 365 Business Central is an asset
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

Education and Experience

• A-level education or equivalent; finance-related certification is an advantage
