A Maltese business group within the FMCG, are looking for an Accounts Clerk to support the finance team with daily accounting tasks, transaction processing, reconciliations, and financial record keeping. The role includes handling supplier payments, maintaining accurate accounts data, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulations.
Responsabilities:
Process invoices, payments, and supplier reconciliations
Carry out bank and petty cash reconciliations
Maintain accurate accounting records and filing systems
Assist with month-end procedures and audit preparation
Support VAT, payroll, and routine financial reporting
Enter financial data into accounting systems
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations
Investigate and report discrepancies where necessary

Requirements
1-3 years local experience in a similar job is considered an asset
Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting software is considered an asset
High attention to detail
Able to work independently and within a team
Fluent in English, and ideally also in Maltese
Strong attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
Professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
Education and Experience
Qualification in accounting, finance or related field is considered an asset, but not a must
