Our client is looking to recruit for an Accountant Clerk who will work directly with our Factoring Manager and Deputy CFO to manage their invoicing process. The role consists of issuing invoices to customers, submitting files to the factoring partner, ensuring payment of invoices in a timely manner, daily cash allocation, as well as responding to customer queries.
Duties include:
- Generate and submit accurate invoices (provisional and/or final) to customers on a daily, weekly or monthly basis
- Identify IT issues, communicate to team and IT, and monitor and chase for a resolution
- Ensure pricing, quantity, tax is correct prior to invoicing customers
- Focal point of contact with customers relating billing matters such as quantity, pricing, payment, etc.
- Ensure invoices meet all specific requirements (price, quantity, VAT, product description, banking details, customer details, etc.)
- Liaise with trade finance team for issuance of Letters of Credit and bank guarantees
- Ensure invoices meet the relevant clauses stated on the relevant sale contract
- Ensure invoice value generated by SAP is equal to ASPECT (Trading software) and verification of excel file before release of the invoice
- Generate and submit reports to the factoring partner on a daily basis
- Responsible for submission of documents requested by the factoring partner
- Focal point of contact for queries issued by the factoring partner
- Follow-up on outstanding payments and communicate with customers as needed
- Maintain organised records of all invoices, payments, and correspondence
- Match incoming payments against invoices in SAP
- Collaborate with our finance, trading and operations teams overseas discrepancies
- Assist with end-of-month reporting and reconciliation tasks
Requirements
- Experience in accounts recievables is required
- SAP experience is an asset
- Excellent communications skills in English
- Positive, solution-oriented mindset
- Attention to detail
- Local experience is required for this
