Our client, operating within the payments industry, is seeking to recruit an Accounts Clerk to join their growing Finance team. The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Processing of invoices including retrieving inputs from the systems and ensuring this is in line and accurate
- Posting of purchase invoices whilst supporting the payables accounting process
- Processing and posting of bank transactions including transfers, cheques and other charges
- Issuing monthly statements and reconciling accounts
- Liaising with suppliers and debtors
- Preparing and maintaining a creditors' list for payment runs
- Managing petty cash and related reconciliations
- Assisting with travel related disbursements
- Generating reports related to departmental expenses and assisting with anything related to audit
- Any other duty which may be required from time to time
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to multi task and work on own initiative
- Highly organized with a key eye for detail
