Our client, an international shipping company based in Malta, seeks to hire an Assistant Accountant for a full-time role within their team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate books of accounts and recording invoices and transactions
- Conducting bank and other reconciliations
- Facilitating supplier payments
- Updating databases regularly
- Performing administrative duties such as filing and document archiving
- Ensuring compliance with accounting methods, principles, and policies
- Assisting in quarterly accounts and management reports preparation
- Undertaking ad-hoc projects as required
Requirements
- Must be organized and detail-oriented.
- Demonstrates self-motivation and the ability to take initiative
- While prior experience is not mandatory, candidates with accounting background will be favored.
Education and Experience
- Candidates should possess a minimum of A-level in accounting or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates in the early stages of ACCA or a similar qualification.
