Accounts and Tax Manager

Our client, an international CSP are looking for a Accounts and Tax Manager to lead the team. 

Responsibilities:

•  Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and assistants, ensuring strong performance and professional growth.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high standards in line with the EOS management system.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Allocate team resources efficiently to ensure all deadlines and service commitments are met.
• Develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and software to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee the full cycle of accounting and tax operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all services.
• Supervise the preparation and submission of financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with Maltese statutory and regulatory requirements, including VAT filings, audits, payroll, and other obligations.
• Maintain adherence to local and international accounting standards.
• Implement quality control measures and conduct periodic checks to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• At least two years of local experience in a managerial role.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in accounting and finance, including previous leadership or supervisory roles.
• Strong technical expertise in Maltese accounting and tax regulations, VAT compliance, statutory reporting, and familiarity with international accounting standards.

Education and Experience

• Possession of a professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent
