Our client, operating within the retail industry, is seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their Finance team. The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports, management accounts, KPIs, budgets, and forecasts
Preparing cash flow forecasts and assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements
Coordinating and supporting external audits, ensuring all deliverables are prepared on time
Assisting with internal audits, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and handling statutory reporting
Ensuring adherence to stock count procedures where applicable
Reviewing and approving payments
Maintaining fixed assets and assessing potential obsolescence
Ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and reports
Preparing and submitting VAT returns and all other VAT and tax related declarations
Any other duty which may be required from time to time
Requirements
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role locally
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools especially Excel
Highly analytical and organized
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
