Accountant

The Accountant will play a key role in delivering reliable financial insights that help the business make informed decisions. This position focuses on producing regular financial reports, reviewing performance, supporting planning activities, and ensuring that all financial records remain accurate and compliant with relevant standards.

Responsibilities:

• Produce monthly financial results and related analysis within the required timelines.
• Review differences between actual performance, budgeted figures, and updated forecasts, highlighting key drivers and suggesting corrective actions.
• Assist in building yearly budgets and ongoing forecasts while working closely with different department leaders.
• Maintain and review general ledger entries to ensure data is correct and up to date.
• Prepare financial summaries, performance indicators, and dashboards for senior management and group reporting.
• Support the monitoring of stock valuation and help strengthen cost-management practices.
• Help improve financial workflows, internal controls, and system processes to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure all financial tasks comply with accounting guidelines and internal company rules.
• Work with internal and external auditors by providing accurate information and documentation when needed.
• Collaborate with operational and commercial teams, offering financial advice to boost efficiency and profitability.

Requirements

• Previous local experience in a similar role
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Exhibit excellent commercial awareness and the ability to interpret financial data in a business context.

Education and Experience

• Be a fully qualified accountant or soon to be qualified
