What you’ll be doing

• Manage IFRS accounting topics, including reinsurance (IFRS 17 & 9), investment accounting, and other general accounting areas.
• Play a key role in quarterly closing activities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Solvency II reporting requirements.
• Deliver financial analysis and commentary for quarterly closes and ECON submissions, aligned with IFRS 17 standards.
• Reconcile IFRS 17 data, perform quality checks, and resolve data quality issues with stakeholders.
• Support adjustments and analytics for both internal and external reporting.
• Contribute to compliance tasks, process improvements, and automation projects to strengthen efficiency.
• Prepare clear, insightful presentations for performance reviews and Board meetings.
• Support audits and financial statements related to reinsurance and other financial areas.

Requirements

• Strong technical accounting and reporting capabilities particularly related to financial services.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience or more in the Maltese financial industry

Education and Experience

• An ACCA qualification or equivalent
