Accountant

Our client, a leading catering company in Malta is looking to recruit an Accountant to join their team.

Main Responsibilities :

• Manage accounting and financial controls to maximize cash flow and safeguard assets.
• Maintain accurate and timely financial records, management accounts, and reports with analysis and projections.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards, corporate policies, and local laws.
• Oversee capital expenditures, audits, VAT returns, and other financial documentation.
• Implement and maintain accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Conduct inspections and tests to ensure processes align with policies.
• Liaise with auditors and provide required documentation.
• Safeguard contracts, leases, and financial records.
• Support management with administrative and financial tasks.
• Assist in recruitment, training, and performance management of finance staff.
• Foster employee engagement, teamwork, and professional development.
• Promote health, safety, and security awareness in the department.
• Maintain workplace organization, proper documentation archiving, and operational efficiency.
• Attend meetings and support colleagues in related tasks when needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in Hospitality will be considered an asset

Education and Experience

• Fully Qualified and warranted Accountant
