Accountant

  South of Malta  |  €35,000 - €40,000 Annually 

Our client, a leading local business in the Catering industry is looking to expand their finance team with the addition of an Accountant

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash cycle
  • Delegating tasks to team members ensuring smooth workflow and overseeing their work
  • Actively participate in month-end and audit processes to ensure timely completion and adherence to deadlines
  • Providing support to the finance and management team as required
  • Ensure all regulatory and statutory returns are completed accurately and on time
  • Ensure effective internal controls are in place and suggest improvements as necessary
  • Assist their superior in the preparation of management accounts reports, forecasts and budgets

Requirements

  • A solid background in accounting including local experience
  • Fluent in Maltese language
  • Knowledge of Shireburn software is considered an asset
  • A proactive and dedicated individual with strong people management skills

Education and Experience

  • Full-qualified or in the last stages of ACCA or equivalent. Candidates with more experience and less qualification will also be considered
