Our client within the FInancial Industry is looking for an Accounting Officer to support the finance team by handling daily financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with budgeting, reporting, and audits. This role ensures that all financial activities comply with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and update all transactions in the general ledger
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently
- Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and internal records
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support management decisions
- Support the development of annual budgets
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and report variances
- Assist in preparing forecasts and provide financial guidance
- Ensure financial operations follow accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
- Assist with internal and external audits by supplying necessary documentation
- Maintain organized records for auditing and regulatory purposes
- Oversee petty cash and ensure proper recording of transactions
- Track and manage company assets and inventory
- Monitor cash flow and support treasury-related activities
Requirements
- 2–4 years of local accounting or finance experience
- Confident in leading a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or ACCA
