Our client, a leading organization in the financial sector, is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to join their dedicated IT team. The ideal candidate will be serving as the first point of contact for ICT support, providing timely and professional assistance to users while helping ensure the reliable operation of end-user devices, systems, and services. The role is responsible for the provisioning, configuration, maintenance, and support of hardware, software, user accounts, and assigned ICT systems and services.
Responsibilities:
- Support & Service Delivery: Resolve user tickets, calls, and emails, managing issues from triage through resolution.
- Systems & Security Management: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot ICT and bank security infrastructure to ensure uptime and regulatory compliance.
- User Onboarding & Training: Provision equipment, configure accounts prior to start dates, and conduct ICT security and platform inductions.
- Operations & Asset Control: Audit hardware inventory, manage cloud collaboration tools, support rollouts, and assist in incident recovery.
- Continuous Improvement: Streamline IT processes, update documentation, and expand technical skills through ongoing training.
Requirements
- Microsoft Ecosystem: M365, Windows Desktop/Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, DFS, and basic PowerShell scripting.
- Infrastructure & Networking: TCP/IP, OSI model, VoIP/Unified Communications, network troubleshooting, and system monitoring/alerting.
- Endpoint Management & Security: Provisioning, deployment, lifecycle asset management, EDR/XDR, and core ICT security best practices.
- Core Competencies: Analytical troubleshooting and sustainable problem-solving.

Education and experience
- Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Information Technology; OR
- Relevant industry certifications or experience
- CompTIA A+, N+, Security+ or equivalent is considered an asset
- CCNA is considered an asset
- Microsoft 365: Administrator, Endpoint Administrator or equivalent is considered an asset
- ITIL Foundation is considered an asset
- Vendor certifications are considered an asset
