The IT System Administrator is an entry-level, hands-on position responsible for supporting the company's IT infrastructure. You'll work as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of critical systems, providing technical support to end-users, and assisting with various IT tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provide end-user support by troubleshooting hardware, software, printer, login, and network issues.
- Deliver remote desktop support to diagnose and resolve user problems.
- Manage support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles and user documentation.
- Administer Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, permissions, and access control.
- Create new user accounts, email, applications, and network access.
- Perform password resets and manage the full user account lifecycle.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software.
- Deploy software updates and apply security patches.
- Monitor and optimise system performance and reliability.
- Assist with network troubleshooting, device configuration, and performance monitoring.
- Support data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
- Document IT procedures and maintain user guides.
Requirements
- Experience in managing network and firewall devices
- Experience in managing Microsoft Windows Server environments
- Experience in ITIL processes
- Experience in Microsoft platforms and products such as Microsoft Office 365 & other Microsoft Products

Education and experience
- A Diploma/Advanced Diploma in IT/Computer Studies or an equivalent.
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or equivalent would be considered an asset
- Minimum 1 year in a similar role
