Our client in the FMCG industry is looking for an IT Administrator responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of the company's IT infrastructure, systems, hardware, software, and user accounts. The role provides IT support to employees, ensures the smooth operation of IT services, and acts as a key point of contact with the company's external IT service providers.
- System & Infrastructure Management: Maintain IT systems, hardware, networks, backups, and software licenses, while ensuring updates and policy compliance.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide end-user support, resolve technical issues, and mentor Junior IT Administrators.
- User & Access Administration: Manage M365, system access, permissions, and complete IT onboarding/offboarding for employees.
- Vendor & Escalation Management: Serve as primary liaison for external providers (Eyetech, Eyesel), coordinating repairs, warranties, and complex issue escalations.
- Security & Documentation: Oversaw cybersecurity, data protection, and asset registers while maintaining detailed system documentation.
- Projects & Process Improvement: Support system rollouts, test upgrades, monitor recurring issues, and propose process enhancements.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks: Carry out additional duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- 6 months experience in a similar role would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, networking, PC hardware, software, user/access administration, and backups.
- Troubleshooting, analytical, time-management, and multi-tasking skills with a proactive, self-directed mindset.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, data protection, and IT asset/license management.
- Communication and customer service skills (translating technical terms for non-technical users), high discretion with confidential data, and a strong team player attitude.
- Has to be located in Malta
Education and experience
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
