An international payments company is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator with a software background.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison between the core software development teams, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and collaboration across all units.
Proactively identify, manage, and resolve dependencies and bottlenecks that impact cross-team delivery, escalating issues when required.
Maintain visibility across ongoing initiatives, priorities, risks, and blockers within the Technology Unit (TU).
Act as the main point of contact between the TU and external vendors, managing relationships, monitoring deliverables, and ensuring service level commitments are achieved.
Coordinate vendor onboarding activities, contract follow-ups, and technical integrations in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Facilitate sprint planning sessions, roadmap reviews, and departmental meetings by preparing agendas, documenting key decisions, and tracking action items.
Monitor project milestones and timelines, helping teams remain aligned with agreed delivery objectives and priorities.
Manage and coordinate incoming requests to the TU from other departments, ensuring effective triage, prioritisation, and routing.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and workflows, enhancing efficiency while maintaining compliance with fintech industry standards and audit requirements.
Requirements
Strong understanding of software development environments and methodologies. While hands-on coding experience is not required, the ability to effectively engage with technical teams is essential.
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.
Located in Malta with local experience in the fintech industry.

Previous experience in a Technical Coordinator, Project Coordinator, Project Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role within a software development environment.
Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Exposure to fintech, regulated industries, or compliance-driven environments.
