Production Manager

We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Production Manager to oversee the complete water production and bottling process within a fast-paced FMCG environment in Malta. This leadership role focuses on ensuring operational efficiency, high product quality, and full compliance with local and EU standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management: Plan and supervise daily bottling activities to ensure production schedules are met on time.

Process Optimization: Monitor production lines to maximize output while minimizing downtime and waste.

Quality & Compliance: Enforce strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards (HACCP) across water treatment and filtration processes.

Team Leadership: Lead and develop production teams, managing shift planning, performance evaluations, and coaching.

Maintenance Oversight: Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs for production machinery to ensure continuous functionality.

Resource Coordination: Monitor raw material stock levels and coordinate with procurement and logistics to ensure a smooth flow of supplies.

Continuous Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing initiatives and analyze KPIs to improve productivity and update SOPs.

Working Conditions:

• Based within a production plant environment.
• Requires flexibility regarding shifts to meet production demands.
• High level of interaction with Quality Assurance, Logistics, and Maintenance teams.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in a production or manufacturing environment, ideally within the beverage or FMCG industry
• Proven experience in managing and developing teams within a production setting.
• Strong understanding of Maltese and EU food safety and manufacturing regulations.
• Familiarity with bottling systems, production machinery, and data analysis for KPI management
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
