We’re looking for an experienced Senior Networks & Systems Engineer to take ownership of a modern IT infrastructure environment and ensure it runs securely, efficiently, and at scale.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing network systems, cloud platforms, and security infrastructure, while supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term growth.
What You’ll Do
Configure, maintain, and optimise firewalls, switches, servers, and security appliances
Manage and support virtual and cloud-based infrastructure environments
Ensure high availability and performance of critical systems and services
Monitor, test, and validate backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and resilience
Perform system updates, patching, and security hardening aligned with best practices
Support and maintain secure network configurations, including VPNs and access controls
Diagnose and resolve network and infrastructure issues using a structured, analytical approach
Contribute to capacity planning to support scalability and future growth
Work closely with vendors, service integrators, and internal stakeholders across design, deployment, and support phases
Track incidents and ensure timely resolution in collaboration with relevant teams
Adapt technical plans and recommend alternative solutions based on changing business needs
Requirements
Minimum 4 years’ experience in a network, systems, or infrastructure engineering role
Strong experience with Fortinet firewalls (or similar platforms like Juniper)
Experience administering Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure environments.
Strong knowledge of Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking, switching, and VLAN design
Hands-on exposure to VMware/AWS, enterprise hardware (Dell/HP), and backup tools.
Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Backblaze)
