Our client in the finance industry is looking for someone who takes the blueprints from the Lead DevOps Engineer and turns them into functional, reliable, production-ready code. You are the hands-on engine of the infrastructure team.
Your responsibilities:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Writing clean, reusable Terraform configurations based on an established module architecture.
- Hybrid Kubernetes: Provisioning and managing EKS (AWS) alongside on-prem Kubernetes clusters. You'll need to comfortable with the realities of hybrid networking and infrastructure.
- CI/CD Ownership: Building, maintaining, and troubleshooting the deployment pipelines that keep the software moving safely from local Git branches to production.
- Containerize Java Services: Partner directly with backend squads to build optimized, production-grade Docker images and implement container registry best practices (ECR/private registries).
- Implement Telemetry: Deploy and maintain CloudWatch, Datadog, or Grafana stacks to track infrastructure metrics and enable distributed tracing across microservices.
- Define Alerting Standards: Establish meaningful alert thresholds based on actual service degradation to ensure high visibility while preventing alert fatigue.
- Enforce Image Scanning: Integrate vulnerability scanning into the build lifecycle to catch and block security risks before production.
- Maintain Least-Privilege: Own and enforce strict IAM roles and security baselines across all managed workloads and infrastructure.
- Cross-Team Security: Partner with SRE and Cloud Security Engineers to continuously improve overall platform security posture.

- CI/CD pipeline design and operation: you have built and owned GitHub Actions or GitLab CI pipelines for a real engineering team
- AWS fundamentals at production depth: VPC, IAM, RDS, EKS, ALB, Route53, S3 - not just familiarity but operational confidence
- Docker and container security: image build standards, private registry management, scanning, and runtime security basics
- 3 to 5 years in infrastructure or cloud engineering, with a meaningful portion of that in a production AWS environment
