Our client is looking for a Network and Systems Administrator responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of ICT Infrastructure at an operational level with a focus on Networks. This role also includes guiding the Junior Systems Administrator, ensuring they perform effectively while fostering their professional development.
- Infrastructure & System Administration: Manage, maintain, and monitor ICT infrastructure, security systems, and data backups to ensure compliance with standards and high efficiency.
- Technical Support & Operations: Provide tier-1/2 desktop and ICT support across all channels, promptly resolving and prioritizing ticketing queue requests.
- Security & Risk Management: Design, implement, and enforce secure architectures, mitigate threats, and support regulatory compliance and disaster recovery plans.
- Architecture & Deployments: Assist in rolling out new environments/applications, evaluate emerging technologies, and propose system improvements.
- Operations & Administration: Oversee vendor relations, maintain asset registries and technical documentation, mentor team members, and fulfill ad-hoc requests.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar role
- Good troubleshooting abilities, capable of analysing problems and identifying sustainable solutions
- Advanced level of experience with Networking technologies: SD-WAN Technologies, wireless technologies, Access, Distribution and Core Layer Networking, VPN & QoS Technologies
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems, Microsoft 365 administration, Cloud technologies, Windows PowerShell and basic scripting concepts
- Stakeholder maangement
- Has a strong willingness to learn, develop technical skills, and complete both assigned and self-directed training
- Shows an interest in automation, continuous improvement, and process optimisation
- Communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical users
- Needs to be based in Malta with local experience
