IT Systems Administrator

Our client within the property development industry is looking for an IT System Administrator: 

• Key Responsibilities:
  
  Device Fleet: Build, enrol, manage, and securely wipe laptops and phones via Entra ID and Intune.
• Microsoft 365: Manage mailboxes, delegated access, licensing, and mail flow.
• Network & Security Infrastructure: Manage firewalls, segmentation, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and network hardening projects across all sites.
• Cybersecurity & Incident Response: Enforce MFA, Conditional Access, and endpoint protection; monitor sign-ins and act as first responder to security incidents.
• Access Control: Oversee user accounts, roles, and permissions across our custom ERP and third-party platforms (Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, Mailchimp).
• Business Continuity: Maintain system backups and conduct periodic restore testing.
• IT Asset & License Management: Maintain accurate inventories for hardware, domain/license renewals, and SaaS subscriptions.
• Tech Deployment & Innovation: Evaluate, deploy, and support new software, including AI tools like Claude.
• Documentation: Author and maintain comprehensive runbooks for all IT processes

Requirements

• Fluent in English
• Based in Malta
• Nice to have: CompTIA Network+ or Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft certifications.
• Two or more years of hands-on experience in IT administration - Strong Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration skills.
• Networking: Strong understanding of subnetting, virtual local area networks, DNS, firewall rules, VPN, and wireless networks.
• Cybersecurity: Practical capability in identity and access management, multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection, and incident response.
• OS Support: Highly proficient in Windows, and comfortable supporting macOS.

Education and experience

• A degree in a relevant field, industry certifications, or demonstrable hands-on experience.
• Ideally experienced working as the sole or lead IT practitioner.
• Nice to have: Experience with Ubiquiti UniFi
• Nice to have: PowerShell scripting capabilities.
