The IP Network Engineer designs, implements, maintains, and secures network infrastructure to ensure reliable performance and connectivity. The role involves configuring network devices, troubleshooting issues, monitoring systems, and supporting users, while ensuring network security and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy network solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Perform maintenance, updates, and provide technical support
- Manage network security, firewalls, and backup processes
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network efficiency
- Maintain documentation and report on network operations
- Core Skills
- IP addressing, VLANs, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- Troubleshooting LAN/WAN environments
- Collaboration with IT teams and vendors
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and hardware
- Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
- Understanding of network protocols and security principles
