The Billing Quantity Surveyor drives the financial and contractual success of our client's initiatives, focusing heavily on precise and punctual invoicing. This professional will formulate budgets, control project costs, and collaborate closely with on-site teams to accurately evaluate and price completed work, ensuring total financial efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Formulate comprehensive project budgets and deliver accurate preliminary cost estimations.
- Establish invoicing schedules and process both interim and final payment applications for clients and contractors.
- Evaluate construction progress through regular site visits, accurately quantifying the materials, labor, and equipment utilized.
- Track project expenditures to pinpoint financial variances and maintain meticulous transaction records.
- Draft, review, and enforce strict compliance with all construction contract terms and conditions.
- Spearhead the negotiation and resolution of project variations, scope changes, claims, and disputes.
- Act as the primary financial and contractual advisor to project teams, management, and external stakeholders.
Experience & Requirements
- A minimum of three years of dedicated billing and quantity surveying experience within the construction sector.
- Deep understanding of financial management, cost control, and construction contract administration.
- High proficiency with standard quantity surveying software, paired with exceptional analytical and numerical abilities.
- A strong capacity to work both autonomously and collaboratively, defined by a sharp eye for detail and accuracy.
