Our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. If you are looking to work on Home and/or Industrial projects, this may be the opportunity for you.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections and participate in design and progress meetings in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Oversee subcontractors’ activities on site to ensure work is executed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Measure completed works on site and coordinate quantity records between the site team and administration department.
- Identify and report any deficiencies in workmanship or materials to the Project Manager.
- Review construction drawings and prepare quantity take-offs while maintaining adherence to project budgets.
- Organise deliveries and allocate tasks effectively among site personnel.
- Coordinate and maintain communication with subcontractors and site operatives.
- Travel between the office and project sites as required.
- Assist in the preparation of progress payment certificates and project close-out documentation.
- Carry out quality assurance inspections and snagging activities on site.
- Work closely with project stakeholders to maximise project value and achieve cost-effective outcomes.
- Track and manage project costs, identifying opportunities for cost reductions and efficiencies.
- Prepare and issue variation orders as directed by the Project Manager.
- Perform any additional duties appropriate to the position and in line with business requirements.
Skills & Requirements
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role (mandatory).
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Microsoft Project will be considered an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Possession of a valid Category B driving licence.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Capable of working independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
Salary is dependant on the experience of the individual.
