Quantity Surveyor

Our client is searching for a Quantity Surveyor to join their tight-knit team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for:

• Conducting cost estimates, feasibility studies, and budget preparation for construction projects.
• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and cost breakdowns.
• Evaluating and selecting subcontractors and suppliers based on competitive bidding.
• Negotiating and managing contracts, variations, and claims to ensure project profitability.
• Conducting regular site visits to assess progress, identify potential issues, and verify quantities.
• Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, regulations, and industry standards.
• Providing professional advice and recommendations on cost control and cost management.
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, cost estimation, and contract management
• Proficiency in using industry-standard software for quantity surveying
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with local construction regulations and industry best practices

Education and Experience

• Proven locsal experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry is a must
