Our client, a Building Services Company are looking for an experienced MEP Tendering Engineer to prepare competitive tenders, manage project financials, and support business growth. The role combines technical expertise with commercial acumen and requires collaboration with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare MEP tenders and commercial bids in coordination with HOTPD.
- Present project proposals and meet clients to understand requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
- Support contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
- Maintain accurate tender and project documentation.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, programmes, and cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor project costs, analyse variances, and report risks or overruns.
- Track project financials, ensuring spend remains within approved budgets.
- Produce regular financial and cash flow reports for internal stakeholders.
- Set timelines for project activities following award.
- Coordinate with project managers and internal teams on financial objectives.
- Support procurement of materials and labour, ensuring contract compliance.
- Assist in improving financial and administrative procedures.
Working Hours
Monday - Friday - Office hours and office based
Remuneration: Base salary plus commission based on tenders won.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, local tendering processes, and project cost management.
- Must hold and excellent level of written and verbal English.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
- Experience in MEP tendering or project financial management.
- Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and risk analysis for construction projects.
- Experience in procurement, contract management, and client relations is an advantage.
