Our client who is in the retail industry is looking for a warehouse manager.
- Strategically managing the Warehouse in compliance with the company’s values, policies and vision
- Overseeing incoming goods, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
- Ensuring efficient space utilization
- Initiating, coordinating and enforcing optimal operational policies and procedures
- Adhering to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
- Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Managing stock control and reconciling with data storage system
- Liaising with clients and transportation companies
- Planning work schedules, assigning tasks appropriately and appraising results
- Recruiting, selecting, orientating, coaching and motivating employees
- Producing reports and statistics on a regular basis
- Receiving feedback and monitoring the quality of services provided
- Monitoring and utilizing the security systems and maintenance
- Optimizing the route planning process
- Ensuring best practice in all aspects of operation
- Leading the respective team by example and keeping subordinates motivated and always working as a team
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am -5pm
Requirements
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Maltese
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
Education and experience
- Have a minimum of five years’ previous working experience as a Warehouse Manager
