The Warehouse Manager shall be responsible for the overall management, compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement of warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
Management of all warehouse operations covering raw materials, packaging materials, APIs, intermediates, finished products, and consumables.
Ensuring compliance with EU GMP, FDA GMP, GDP, and company quality standards.
Managing warehouse personnel, including supervisors and operators, through recruitment, training, development, and performance management.
Maintaining accurate inventory control through ERP systems and regular cycle counting programmes.
Managing temperature-controlled and special storage areas, including hazardous materials where applicable.
Leading investigations relating to deviations, inventory discrepancies, customer complaints, and CAPAs associated with warehouse operations.
Supporting regulatory inspections, customer audits, and internal audits.
Monitoring warehouse KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost optimization.
Collaborating closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Supply Chain departments.
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements and promoting a strong safety culture throughout warehouse operations.
Managing third-party logistics providers and warehouse-related service providers where applicable.
Identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities through process optimization, resource utilization, and inventory management.
Driving warehouse layout and space optimization initiatives to maximize storage capacity, improve material flow, and enhance operational performance.
Requirements
A degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
A minimum of five years' experience in warehouse operations, preferably within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, chemical, or highly regulated manufacturing industries.
A minimum of three years' experience in a leadership or managerial position.
Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, and pharmaceutical warehousing requirements.
Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience will be considered an asset.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
Fluency in English; knowledge of Maltese will be considered an asset.
