Our client is seeking a proactive and organised Procurement & Logistics Executive to join their operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, coordinating logistics and shipping operations, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods across the supply chain.
The Main Responsibilities include:
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and service.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms.
- Raise and manage purchase orders with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Monitor procurement requests and shipment progress.
- Coordinate local and international shipping and transport arrangements.
- Liaise with freight forwarders and logistics providers.
- Prepare and verify shipping and customs documentation.
- Support inventory, warehousing, and supply chain operations.
- Issue customer invoices through the ERP system.
- Ensure timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.
- Liaise with external advisors on procurement and logistics matters.
- Provide administrative support and perform other related duties as required.
Working Hours:
Monday - Thursday, 8AM - 5PM & Fridays, 8AM - 2PM, fully office based.
Requirements
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Education and experience
- A qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field will be considered an asset.
- Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, logistics, supply chain, or a similar operational role.
- Experience managing suppliers, purchase orders, shipping coordination, and logistics processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and invoicing processes will be considered an asset.
- Experience with import/export documentation and customs procedures is advantageous.
