Our client is looking to employ a Distribution & Cold Store Executive. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the efficient management of the supply chain, warehouse operations, product storage, distribution activities, and returns processing.
Responsibilities
- Create and optimise driver schedules using route-planning and scheduling software.
- Supervise drivers to ensure adherence to assigned schedules and delivery timelines.
- Evaluate operational data to measure performance, identify logistical challenges, and implement improvement initiatives.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of qualified drivers for the distribution fleet.
- Monitor driver conduct and maintain high standards of customer service.
- Coordinate distribution activities in collaboration with cold store operations.
- Organize and lead monthly meetings with distributors to communicate updates on products and packaging.
- Act as the primary liaison between distributors and the Sales and Marketing departments.
- Ensure distributors comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and submit weekly operational reports as required.
- Monitor distributor contract compliance and identify any gaps in sales performance.
- Conduct inspections of distributor vehicles to verify cleanliness and proper temperature control.
- Manage daily inventory control and demand forecasting across all product categories.
- Serve as the main contact for customers, including retail outlets, catering businesses, and hotel groups.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by management from time to time.
Experience & Skills
- A minimum of 3–4 years of experience in a similar position within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
- Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel, with practical experience using ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities, with the capacity to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Possession of a valid driving licence.
