The Role
- The position focuses on expanding international markets and strengthening strategic customer relationships.
- The company is looking for a Chemical & Commodity Trader or Sales Manager to develop sales and market growth for basic chemical products.
- The role aims to increase the global customer base and improve trading margins.
- You will develop and implement sales and trading strategies for chemical commodities.
- Responsibilities include identifying and managing relationships with customers, distributors, and industrial buyers worldwide.
- Monitoring market trends, geopolitical developments, and price volatility is an important part of the job.
- The trader will negotiate both long-term sales contracts and spot transactions while managing commercial risks.
- The role requires collaboration with logistics and supply teams to ensure efficient order execution.
- The trader will contribute to pricing strategies and sales planning based on market analysis.
- Risk management responsibilities include handling price fluctuations, credit exposure, and contract compliance.
Requirements
- Have at at least 5 years experience in commodity trading or buying
- Be highly analytical and a good negotiator
- Having a related degree will be considered as an asset
- May have to travel on work related tasks
