A client of ours within the Shipping Industry is looking for someone to join as a Manager within our Ocean Freight Forwarding Department. This role involves managing relationships with carriers, customers, customs, and agents while leading a team to deliver exceptional service and optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process import and export airfreight documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate shipments and liaise with airlines, agents, customers, and internal departments.
- Handle customer enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
Requirements:
- A minimum A’level standard of education
- Minimum 5+ years of local experience in freight forwarding or ship agency industry or experience in purchasing or logistics.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Computer literacy
- Ability to cooperate with and support other members of the team
- Fluency in English is a must
Requirements
- Candidates must be based in Malta already
- Fluency in English is a must
- Strong computer literacy; ECDL certification or equivalent will be considered an asset.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Education and experience
- Previous experience in the Airfreight, Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Shipping Industry is essential.
- Familiarity with import/export procedures and freight documentation will be considered a strong advantage.
- Good standard of education.
